Les Roches Marbella celebrated its Closing Ceremony

On Friday, 18th of March. in the Salon Andalucía at the Hotel Puente Romano, Les Roches Marbella celebrated its Closing Ceremony. Students of the Post-Graduate Diploma in International Hotel Management (XL class) received their awards and credentials.


44 students awarded their Post-Graduate Diplomas. The new graduates, who have lived with students from more than 70 nationalities on campus, maintain their internationality as they came from 13 countries: Albania, Azerbaijan, Canada, Colombia, Georgia, Greece, India, Italy, Portugal, Russia, Tanzania, Ukraine and Spain. All of them have completed their Postgraduate Diploma in International Hotel Management, taught in English. The postgraduate program is aimed at graduates or professionals (who have a minimum of three years of experience in the hotel and tourism industry) and who wish to specialize in hotel management to reorient their professional career in the international hospitality industry. Les Roches Global Hospitality Education has been ranked number 4 of the world's top institutions for Hospitality and Leisure Management, and number 2 worldwide for employer reputation by QS World University Rankings by Subject 2017.


The Graduation Ceremony was presided by Mr. Ricardo López Weeden, Adviser Responsible for Public Finances of Marbella Town Hall, Mr. Guilherme Costa, General Manager of the Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon, who will deliver the Opening Speech, Mr. Carlos Díez de la Lastra, CEO/General Director of Les Roches Marbella and Ms. Maria José Aparicio, Academic Director of Les Roches Marbella. Also during the ceremony, Les Roches Marbella presented the "Social Responsibility Award" to the Spanish Association of Epidermolysis Bullosa (DEBRA Spain) in recognition of the work carried out by the association and the values it represents. Families, authorities and representatives from local organizations and businesses will also attend to the ceremony.

The recognized academic excellence provided by Les Roches Marbella has allowed, during more than twenty years of history, that ninety percent of its graduates have job on graduation day at prestigious hospitality chains and establishments in the international hotel and tourism industry. Les Roches Marbella will begin in April 2017 an extraordinary intake for its postgraduate diploma in International Hotel Management and in July / August 2017 a new intake will start for the following undergraduate and postgraduate programs, all taught entirely in English: the Bachelor of Business Administration in International Hotel Management (3,5 years) with specializations in Strategic Human Resources Management, Event Management, Resort Management or Entrepreneurship and SME Management / Les Roches Hotel Management Diploma (3 years), the 1-Year Post-Graduate Intensive Diploma in International Hotel Management and the 1-Year Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management for Tourism Luxury. All Les Roches Marbella's academic programs are recognized and accredited at the university level by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges (NESAC), USA.

Today, Les Roches has international campus in Spain, Switzerland, USA, China and Jordan. Les Roches Marbella has been awarded Social Responsibility Certification in Management Systems SGE-21 by Forética for complying with international ethical and social responsibility standards. In addition, the School holds Environmental Certification in Management Systems ISO 14001:2004 and Quality Certification in Management Systems ISO 9001:2008 awarded by Bureau Veritas.
